Morningside Information
|
Morningside is an upmarket suburb encompassing the most prestigious residential properties in Durban including King's House, the State President's residence when he visits the city. Jameson Park, Mitchell Park and Burman Bush Nature Reserve add extra lustre to Morningside. Also the trendiest suburb in Durban, Morningside boasts scores of cosmopolitan restaurants, pubs and clubs.
Morningside, which borders Berea on one side, and the Umgeni River on the other, ranks as one of Durban’s three most popular suburbs - the other two being the Berea and Bulwer, for the very reason that one can get such good value for money here. The established tree-lined streets and accessibility to the centre of Durban and all of her attractions make it even more appealing, so much so that the area has been likened to De Waterkant and Green Point in Cape Town.
