Standerton Information

 

The town of Standerton inherited its name from the original owner of the farm on which it is built, namely Adrian Hendrik Stander. The Vaal River flows through Standerton and provides much in the way of water-based activities. The Grootdraai Dam is 10 kilometers outside of Standerton and is a one of it's major attractions, bringing in revenue from visitors wishing to see the dam and enjoy the activities
