Cape St Francis - a coastal town in Eastern Cape, South Africa is renowned for it's beaches and surfing. Seal Point and Shark Point house the two historical lighthouses in Cape St. Francis. The sunshine and mild temperatures makes this an all year round holiday destination. The Irma Booysen Floral Reserve is the home to many species of flowers and plants. There are endless watersport activities available in this Cape St Francis is popular for its clean beaches and as a surfing location. The town is home to two lighthouses: One is located on Shark Point and another on Seal Point. The Cape St Francis Nature Reserve is a 3 km stretch of coastal dune fynbos with a few milkwood and candlewood trees between the dunes. Fauna on the reserve include several small antelope, vervet monkey, otter, and mongoose. From August to December whales and dolphins can also be seen frolicking in the sea. Several short hiking trails traverse the park. |
