Wapadrand lies nestled on the slopes of the Bronberg Mountain which is home to the endangered Juliana’s golden mole. The mountain is covered predominantly by threatened Rocky Highveld grassland and the Bronberg as a whole is regarded as a sensitive environment. The mountain range means that there are only two crossing points, one near Wapadrand and the other to the west in the vicinity of the Moreleta Spruit. The Botanical Gardens, with it’s beautiful gardens, shady trees, medicinal plant displays and pretty paved nature trails, are situated close to Wapadrand. |
