Set to become the cultural and corporate hub of Gauteng in South Africa, Maropeng is set just off the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, 45 minutes drive from Joburg or Pretoria. Its conference facilities are housed within a true architectural icon, namely the Tumulus building.
There are three conference venues within the Tumulus building, which can be combined to create an overall seating capacity of up to 500 delegates (theatre style). 10kms away, at the Sterkfontein Caves, is an additional auditorium with a maximum capacity of 100 delegates.
In addition to the conference venues at Maropeng, there are also event spaces including a 5000 seater outdoor amphitheatre and a 150 square meter temporary exhibition space within the Tumulus.
