Marina beach is situated south of Margate in the South Coast region of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The Beach itself has a blue flag status. It is located next to Mpenjati Nature Reserve. On the beach there is There is shark-protected bathing, a tidal swimming pool and a lagoon. Various accommodation facilities are available.
Marina Beach is one of eight South African beaches to achieve Blue Flag status in 2001. Blue Flag status is only awarded to beaches that show exceptional cleanliness along with facilities of high quality and good lifeguard services.
