Leeupoort is located in the Bushveld region of the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It is the perfect destination for game viewing with various game lodges and game reserves in and around Leeupoort. The malaria free Tilodi Wilderness Game Reserve has a particular special Bushveld Experience.

The climate is hot in summer with ample rain from around September to April. Leeupoort also experiences a fantastic mild climate throughout the year, even during the dry winter seasons.

Leeupoort is also well known for its lush vegetation which is typical bushveld and also provides for ample grazing for a variety of antelope like giraffe, blue wildebeest, eland, koedoes, njala, impala, warthog and zebra and also makes it a bird lover's paradise.
